Use the realm-config setup. Define realms for each peer, then apply normalization rules, header manipulation, codec policies, and TLS/SRTP profiles. The GUI or ACLI supports regex-based header edits. Oracle is often praised for its granular normalization capabilities, similar to Perimeta.
Yes, specific appliances (e.g., 3900 with transcoder module, 6350) provide DSP hardware support—up to ~6,250 transcoded sessions on the 3900 and 60,000 on the 6350 along with OPUS/SILK (docs.oracle.com). Performance exceeds Ribbon’s capacity on comparable hardware and outpaces software-only ProSBC.
Oracle uses a rear‑interface UDP channel for HA checkpointing – carrying config, health, virtual IP/MAC (VRRP‑style), and session state. On switchover, the standby sends an ARP using the shared MAC to maintain continuity (docs.oracle.com).
